Its blowing a gale outside, one good thing is that its keeping the rain away, but I don’t get too impressed when the wind lifts up the bonnet from its support pole and attempts to sever me in half! Needless to say I didn’t get too much done outside…. sitting in the car is making me sea sick as well as it rocks back and forth in the same wind.
Therefore I retreated to the shed, and yet again tidied it up (e.g. push things into small spaces to make it look like it is tidy). I then proceeded to strip one of the 30IZ Zenith carbs and rebuild it ready to go back on RAY. I managed to get a few gasket kits on-line this week. Hopefully I should have the lack of fuel screw in pipe sorted soon, and can then actually do the swap.
I have also nearly sorted the 1256 big valve head and that should be up ready to reassemble very soon, but no rush on this as that engine project is on the back burner for now until I have finished the 1159 rebuild.
