Viva GT: weekly update
It’s been a frustrating week, as I get closer to the formal testing of the car. Wednesday is the D day where it gets taken over to Northampton Motor Sport for them to do a final check (make sure I haven’t missed something, failed to fill something or made some dangerous mistake) then onto the rolling road to get it started and the ECU mapped out correctly.
Most of this week has been getting the carpets and doors sorted, and lots of final checks over items.
Good and bad news on the pedal box issue, the problem is now understood, a fix is relatively simple, but the bad news is it needs to come out in order for the failed bushes to be replaced. It’s going to have to wait till after this week before I contemplate that job..
Hopefully everything else is okay, but I expect a huge list of niggles (edit i already have a huge list of niggles to look at). Finger crossed it all goes reasonably well, I have a lot wrapped up in the car both emotionally and financially, so a lot of ridding on it going well.
The car is not finished and realistically I need another few months on it to complete the car, but its about as complete as its going to get before the NON Billing show on the 6th July. I plan to drive it there, we shall see.
