Viva GT Fuel pumps fitted
Finally after a number of weeks the pump and filter array are now fitted to the car and the fuel lines almost finished at the rear.
I needed a hand so had to wait till that hand was available (cheers Martin) for the help to do up the bolts whilst I lay under the car supporting it all from below.
I have also laid the fuel line to the front of the car from the last filter, and connected that up to the fuel rail. I haven’t yet clipped the fuel line to the chassis rails yet, as after fitting the inlet hose to the fuel rail and adding some clamps, I think its all in need of adjusting. Until I get that all sorted there is no point in clamping it all up to the car yet. In the image below one can see the line is too tight, some undoing clamps moving and re clamping will sort all that out.
Secondly the return line from the fuel regulator needs to be cut to the correct length, and until thats done I cannot clamp the pipes up anyways as all three lines (2 fuel and 1 brake) all go into the same clamp fixings.
The last job will be the connection to the tank, both out to the filters and the return from the regulator. I have some ideas about how to do this, but until I am back under the car with some various hoses and fittings its hard to know what I need have or need to get.
