Viva GT Fuel lines FINISHED
At last the fuel lines are finished, today after work I managed to get under the car and fit the two compression fittings I had ordered for the two tank inlet / outlets.
The first is 10mm, which connects to the new “Sardine can” outlet from the tank and into the filter pump assembly.
The other is using the original tank outlet now as the fuel return from the pressure regulator, somewhat smaller that the new outlet but it will suffice.
I haven’t got a lot more to do at the back end of the car now other than wire up the pump, top up the axle with oil, and check / double check everything. Most if not all of that can wait till I get it onto a ramp and have the space to inspect everything which is near impossible laying on a floor squeezing under the car. I want to do this and loctite all the clamp bolts, check all the fuel unions and generally make sure everything isn’t too tight or too loose (there are a lot of unions, 10 at the rear alone!)
It was a quick 30 minutes of laying on the cold floor, I am back in the house now warming back up waiting for the weekend and start / finish the oil cooler installation. Things are getting ticked off the list, but more still getting added to the list (s).
