Well I went out for a drive round the lanes in the sunshine! First out was the HC, drove fine apart from an annoying knocking from the rear end, surprise to say maybe its something to do with half a front subframe, brake discs and calipers all loose in the boot! Its a lovely sunny day, so I came home quickly to get the HA out and have a longer drive, alas the battery was flat.
One quick jump start later and the car was up and running, I can only report that it needs a service and has a terrible flat spot on acceleration, but everything works as it should…. I suspect that’s going to be it for another month unless the sun stays out. 😀
Jobs to do if the sun stays out and its not freezing : refit the correct fuel tank to the HA, clear the boot of the HC out, find and replace the HC radiator and fit the Dunlop D1’s (now that I have found the right wheel nuts locally)
Chrome wheel nuts to fit both Minilite & Dunlop type wheels. Each nut comes complete with a washer. Thread is 3/8″. Dimensions of Nut: Length top to bottom : 37mm / Length of straight : 17mm / Diameter at narrow section : 16mm. Washer Diameter : 25mm / Washer depth 5mm. Nut / Spanner size 19mm
