Well I have now seated the crank in place and dropped the Main bearing caps in. I re-tested the end float again, this time with the new Copper thrust bearings. Spot on still, so nearly time to tighten those up. Crank turns loverly no drag or tight spots anywhere.
Not much done, but then I did spend an hour this morning help shift three and half cubic meters or Concrete onto a mates drive, the floor of his new garage.
