Tidy Saturday
Over the last few months I have pulled and tugged things out of draws when I needed them and pushed odds and sods into corners, today as it was wet I thought I had better sort it all out. Its taken 6 hours but everything is in its place and there is a place for everything.
The worktop is clear of clutter, and under the worktop is all sorted out so most things I might need are close to hand (famous last words).
I didn’t find much that I had forgotten about, but the alarming number of sets of pistons make me think I should stop buying them, 7 sets is more than enough! And what is good is that two sets I can use on 1057cc engines. Those should be the next on the collection list (when ever I get around to it), so that’s save me spending more dollar.
Tomorrow I will fill the car up and drop down the dump with all the odds and sod I have collected and in all honesty will never use and are of no use to man nor beast. Why had I kept 4 set of old pistons for example?
I have also for some weird reason got three full engines (e.g. blocks and heads) But I also have 8 spare heads??? Just where did they all come from, for now they are in a corner out of the way so they can stay.
In some mad fitful moment I also sorted out all the nuts and bolts and its the same story, masses of 7/16th head bolts and hardly any 3/8th head bolts and guess what? two of the engines I have are 3/8th! It appears I am short of the ones I need and could cash in scrap value of a few pounds ones I don’t need.
