Skirting the edge Leg 8
Ohh what a joyful day today was, not even the drizzle as I entered Scotland could bring me down, The coast of Northumbria is a hidden gem (well i say hidden its because I didn’t know that). For years I have wondered why my Brother and his wife have travelled so far north all the time for a holiday? Now I know, its because the beeches are amazing. Lots of golden sand as far as the eye can see, and I guess in sun as good as any I have passed so far.
Today I started very early in Sunderland as I wanted to beat the traffic in Newcastle, which I did! what made the day was the lady at the first fuel stop just after the Tyne tunnel, she asked me if it was another one of those Mondays, and i retorted that I don’t even know it was Monday! I have bene on the road long enough now to not pay attention to news read newspapers watch the TV or realise what day of the week it is!
So pictures, hopefully in order (?)
The last 50 miles or so were following the North Berwick trail into the overnight stop. all in all a great day and we are now over 2000 miles
