Skirting the edge leg 16
Gosh it is really 16 days non stop!! Here I am in Blackpool hoping to polish off the last bit of England tomorrow and Start Wales. I think I f i carry on I should be finished by Saturday, making it three weeks exactly. But I am tired now, finding I am having to take more breaks each day than I did a week ago. Half of it is the route, sometime the sat nav annoys me and I feel like throwing it out the window. For example today the route took me down a road that was closed. So I diverted and followed the signs, but even though I was back on route a few minutes later, the sat nav just wouldn’t accept it, and for the next 30 minutes tried to make me turn around. I got upset with it and got my pen out to press the reset button, and low and behold it shut up and played good for the rest of the day! that’s three times now, it has a mind of its own.
The route today was south form Maryport, and the first thing to note was the hills, North of Maryport one feels like one is in the Fens, South of the town and its hills and twists and turns like one is in Somerset. Its took a few hours but eventually I arrived at the northern edge of Morecombe bay.
