Skirting the edge leg 14
Well its back to good wifi service in the overnight accommodation, which is great because its not just about keeping up to date with the blog but its all the other things like endless emails to sort out, accommodation booking and bill paying.
Today was the long one, I knew this was coming so I just took it on the chin, and even though I was tired from a 5am wake up and 6am start, I managed the entire 391 miles in under 10 hours. Tonight I am in Stranraer, almost at the most southerly point in Scotland (Southend). I hope to pop there in the morning and grab that image as the sun rises (fat chance today as its dark and overcast).
Today also marked the last planned ferry crossing so avoiding the mess that is Glasgow. You can just see me poking a headlight out, it was much tighter packed that Calmac, this is a Western Isles ferry.
the drive today was a bit like the last two days in that I didn’t stop much other than for fuel food or drinks, much of the coast like is rocky. So its limited photo opportunities where the camera phone can do any justice to the views, in hindsight a decent SLR with some lenses would of been great, but this is a driving holiday and stopping to take images of good views would mean I would still be on leg one!
