Skirting the edge leg 10
Blimey leg 10, that means 10 days on route and another day to get to the start, so I have bene driving for 11 days now. Today I left Peterhead North of Aberdeen, and headed first West to Inverness and then North as far as Wick, about 15 miles short of the top Scotland (tomorrow). The weather today was drizzle, some time nothing and blustery and other times full on rain. The weather has not dampened my spirits.
I managed a few sand samples today, but none along the Northward leg as its all cliff’s and or a railways line with no way across between the road and beech.
Yes the car is very dirty, its days worth or grime, I ought to wash it down with a jet wash, but finding one that’s working and not populated by a group of lads from eastern Europe is hard. Anyways Reversing off the ferry is fun! The ramp folds down, the slip way is uphill so the angle change is steep and its all wet. Woo betide turning the steering wheel and one would reverse into the sea off the ramp (narrow). End of the days its one ferry I haven’t bene on before so more items ticked off.
The last 80 miles were all along the A9 up the North East Coast and having driven its a few times there isn’t much to report, it was raining and visibility was poor, so no photo opportunities.
