This morning the wind at Shakespeare County Raceway was finally a tail wind and not a head wind as it has been the last three times we have been racing. Again it was time for the Viva Outlaws to rock up and try their arm at improving personal bests. Today 5 Viva’s turned up to race (it should of been more but various mechanical failures and unknown reasons stopped more arriving).
Present were Guy with his Convertible GT, Deon with Jaffa his 2.3 HB, Karl with his Ford CVH powered HB, Martin in his V8 HC called Lily and Mike in his white GT. Martin ran a Personal Best (14.12) so he is now only a tenth off the magic 13 second barrier. Everyone else ran between 17’s and 23 seconds.
Pictures as always including a few of the other cars running today. The three below are all road legal, I suspect the Land-rover is one of the maddest.
The little Fiats engine was so big it stuck out the boot, and was running 12’s
This Model T was very loud!
As always I did some video’s but this time I am not voting to put them up as they are crap. I think its time i invested in a real camera and not film on the pocket compact anymore. Its good for snap shots and does video, but as one is too far from the action everything looks so tiny. So here are some of the Vivas racing.
Sorry Spot appear to of missed a picture of your Convertible !
