Santa time already!
Yes Santa Pod, for a late end of the season dragster spotting day. It was a good run out for Marvin, although he did Pink a bit on the way there, but luckily Edd had a timing light so we played with the timing at Santa Pod and I am happy to say the Pinking was twice as bad on the way home, typical. However if not on full throttle in top up a hill, Marvin ran well and didn’t complain or mutter at me once. In third gear he was pulling well all the way to mid 50 mph off roundabouts, Its starting to come together well.
I took the camera but didn’t put the correct memory car in so I only got one good video and the card was full!
It was an enjoyable day lots of coffee and natters about who was doing what and where and when, I did suggest this was held in summer and not in the grip of a cold freezing autumn Sunday, we shall see?
In terms of cars there were 4 Viva HB’s and Marvin. Only one run up the strip, he was obviously super keen, in his 4.6 Rover V8 powered Lime green HB, the rest staying lined up ready should the line of cars diminish, alas it was a busy day so the rest watched the cars race.
