Good god, I went to the paint shop after work today for my weekly disappointment to find the car on the ramp, and half the car prepared for primer, things have finally moved onwards.
The sunroof was out, the roof sanded, all is looking good, the whole passenger side has also been sanded down, and the good news was the rear aches were not filler as I expected, its all metal.
The second area I was concerned about was just ahead of the filler neck, the panel has ripples, again none of it was filler related, its was the metal itself that was warped? That has now all been hammered and dollied flat and primed.
Thirdly the badges that used to be on the C pillars which I thought were nasty have been removed and the holes filled and primed ready.
The last and the worst area of the car was below the fuel tank, that’s also been sorted and looking good.
I will go down tomorrow with the camera and get some pictures of this work, 1/ to remind myself in future what was done and 2/ to prove to myself that they have actually done something.
