Tonight I thought it was about time I sorted out the shed items that has been drenched in water when the shed leaked, needless to say the water had done no damage at all to the items as it was solid ice still. My collection of old nuts and bolts has now been rescued and everything is now soaking in oil and all the old ice bits are away form things that can do damage.
I am sure I will find more ice when I start moving things about again, but for now I think I have saved everything in the shed from ruin, speaking of the shed, I also had the step ladders out and a long broom and swept the roof clear of snow, as it was getting very deep and heavy, on an already weakened roof.
On the Marvin front I have, finished the pedal box, so once I find the bolts (see above) I will be ready to drop this back in the car. I have also dug out the heater box and items around that, they are all painted up also ready to drop back in. But I think I will need new screws to hold that lot in the car.
The rear lights are a lot more work than they look, the rear SL lights will need the old paint stripping off them (ugly hammerite) and repainting ready to rebuild. I am going to have to make my own rear light gaskets as no one seems to have any, but it doesn’t look to hard to find something that will look the part.
So there you have it some work on the cars at last, Christmas is over and I have so little time left and so much more to do.
