NEC Day Two
Today I feel better after the show, still walking like I have nails in the soles of my feet, but better than yesterday.. I took a chair and sat in it most of the day.
Today my lovely nurses attended with two of their friends, alas the four of them were busy selling themselves on a stand and didn’t find much time to look me up and pose for pictures.
We had a very different day today lots of what I would class as chav’s wandering over asking the daftest questions like “what car is this then” as they stand in front…. of the sign that says VIVA HA…
We has a few people decide that the stand was also a great place to come and have lunch so they were moved on by one of the others, one chap sat on my bonnet and started making telephone calls till I pushed him off the car and told him to “do one”.
We still had lots of couples coming over reminiscing about times they had a HA and went here and there in one which was nice and helped balance the chav’s.
I got naughty with one group of chav’s who asked “Is it fast like?” after seeing the side exhaust, as I told them “tongue in cheek” it had done 12 second at Santa Pod and I had seen 120 on the clock. They all got there camera phones out and took loads of pictures as they obviously bought my lies. The fact that I have seen 120 on the temperature gauge and it has taken me only 12 seconds to unlock and get in the car at Santa Pod was irrelevances I spared them.
Tomorrow is the last day, so hopefully this feet crushing weekend is nearly over, nice as it is, one forgets 11 hours on ones feet 3 days running is hard when your my size and used to flying a desk… Ho hum roll on tomorrow.. Now I just need to convince Soapy’s owner who is giving me a lift in tomorrow to wear a nice nurses uniform and I shall be sorted, for distraction from the pain of my feet.
