NEC Day one report
Its official I am dead on my feet. Too much time on my feet, 11 straight hours with just a few sit downs. I am just not used to it, I am now at home and one foot is numb cannot feel a thing, they better be all right for tomorrow and Sunday….
Lots of great conversions most but not all start with the standard ” I used to own one” and or ” it was my first car” loads of people told stories about what they did where they went etc… Most were run of the mill chats, but a few stand out. The two ladies who spent ages telling me about each one they owned and the reg numbers of each one, The Factory worker who remembered the cloth trim fire, the Gent who sold them in Syria of all places, and the ex co workers from Millbrook who raved the HA more than the good looking but uncomfortably HB’s.
Most wanted to know how much the cars were worth, as they had just wandered over from the Ford stands I guess… LOL
Three people wanted to offer me a price for Marvin but sorry right now he isn’t for sale, although some days I would of given him away ! One old GM manager was poking about asking all about the Marvin, ” Hello chap” I know he reads this blog I will find you a nice HA.
Alas all the chats in the world and all the really interesting people (there were lots of you) I met didn’t stick in my head, for some reason, maybe it was the health check Marvin had, I kind of got distracted?
