LONG day with terrible news
Well I got up at just gone 5am this morning to make the long trip to Norwich, to collect the Carlton. I caught the first train of the day and paid my £34 to get to Norwich… with trains as they are I didn’t arrive in Norwich till just after 10am. I then walked to the bus station and caught a local bus to this Village where the owner lives. I arrived at 11:30 am and had the dilemma of do I TAX the car now before I look at it or look at the car first and then Tax it? At a cost of £99 for 6 month I took the option to look at the car first… which meant I had about 10 minutes to look over the car before I needed to rush down to the postoffice and get road tax. With so little time to look, I spent my time checking over the paperwork and looking at the normal rusty areas like rear archs. I could see the car wasn’t as good as the advert and I should of walked away But I didn’t? Why didn’t I walk away, because I was ?34 train fare, ?40 insurance and ?10 worth of buses away from home and running out of time… I was was 5 miles from the Village to catch the hour long bus back to the train and 3 hours by train from home… I took the car there and then, as it was easier to get home in this car than all this public transport swapping. I got a lift to the post office taxed the car returned and drove off. The car seemed fine, it was clean and tidy, smelt good (normally cars have bad smells on my budgets! I popped in to see an associate a few miles the other side of Norwich on the way home and left my mobile phone there. I got home at around 7pm, I had been on the road for 14 hours and was too over tired to sleep, so I poked around at the car now I was home, OHHH dear look what I found:
OMG the car was a fred flintstone special, nothing like how it was advertised I am destroyed.
