Its here… ohhh what a mess
Well it arrived on the back of a flat bed, and what a mess. Its as rotten as a Pear. Or so it would appear on the outside. I have taken tools and removed sections of the wooden floor to find a solid chassis, albeit surface rust.
To get this to a state where one can decide what to do, I will need to spend a day or so removing all the interior and floors, so I can get back to the metal and wire brush it to hell and back.
The outer panels are not load bearing nor structural in anyway so they can be pop riveted with new metal after I have cut the old stuff out.
The real bug is the front firewall and wings, these are simple flat metal plates, which is good, but they are rotten and or missing some cases, its beyond me to fix this up, but should I spend the time doing it up whilst the engines sit to one side and Marvin continues its hibernation?
