Its Hammer Time
Well I had a play yesterday, and managed to angle grind the old bolts holding the bumper on (as it impossible to get a spanner on the old bolts due to the way it was bent) I played around with a hammer and some wood, and sort of got the front panel back out towards it correct position, the wing is also back in place.
The front panel now has a nasty crease in it (just visible below sidelight), that will need hammering out at a later date, as that’s what makes the headlight aim a little too low (I hope)
Amazing what one can do with a lump hammer a block of wood etc, but hopeful today when a few mates arrive we might find a few minutes to hammer things with more skill and get the front panel fully back in place. Then I can get it welded up next week and a new sill fitted on the drivers side, and boot welded up correctly.
So today’s plan is now Timing, Tuning, Clutch cable and maybe sort a bit of bad wiring out.
Here is a picture of Cheesy as it now sits with a new bumper fitted.
