Heater
A few sunny hours were well used this morning, not only did RAY get a nice wash but I felt it a good time to check out why I was getting no heat in the cabin. I started up the car and let it get nice and warm but neither heater hose was more than luke warm, where the rest of the hoses were hot.
I removed the heater hoses and found the following:
I have cleared it out, but now has a small hole in the top of the input spout, therefore its going to need replacing at some point, I know some people who have them for sale, but they seem to be silly prices so for now I shall just live with it. After attending to the heater and getting it all back together and not leaking ( I hope) I decided it was time to invest some work in Marvin.
The pedal box is now in, the heater matrix is in and a few odds and sods have been sorted out. There is a lot to paint and clean, I think I shall have to look out that zinc plating lead I had. I now have dozens of parts that would all look so much better plated than painted.
Alas the rain came and the cars are covered back up and I am indoors drying out. Not a bad mornings work, if it stops raining I shall get back outside again. In the mean time I shall continue to work on the odds jobs that need sorting out on the new Viva Owners Forum.
