HA Engine Part 3
Popped over to IB Engineering to collect the pistons today, alas they hadn’t fitted them, as I was in no rush, I waited whist they were done. Always interesting to speak to Mark up there as he has good stories.
I also collected the next batch of Zinc plated parts from Coventry and found out they offer Nickel plating and can colour the zinc passivated to many different colour’s including black! But I was warned the darker the colour the better the finish of the metal has to be, else it will show up all the imperfections in the metal, alas they don’t offer Chrome plating.
Once home I trial fitted some of the nice zinc plated bolts and the pistons to the block.
The timing chain cover case is now at the vapour blasters to get it looking new, once that’s collected (Tuesday) that’s it for for a while on this job, as there is no rush to finish the engine as I still need to find a load of parts.
