GT trim work
Another evening in the workshop,
I re-drilled the rear quarters and fitted the GT badges. The rear quarters already had the holes, but were covered over with paint, so a steady hand with the drill soon had then opened up, some fresh “Le Mans Blue” paint and they were ready to accept the badges.
The door surround trim was fitted, I had originally elected to use a cloth covered trim, but upon trial fitting it was decided that a rubber coated trim was far cleaner and fitted better.
I re-routed (again) the new battery cable from the boot under the rear seat and positioned the fuse link in a suitable position, near the tunnel. The rear seat doesn’t trap the cable and as the rear seats will not be used there is no risk of cutting into it. I have used a fuse link here as the original cable was too short, and rather than waste it, i have added the fuse link as a join, There is a fuse at the battery so any shorts will be dealt with by that.
