Well its countdown time, The GT should have its top coats of paint by this time next week, right now the car is busy having its final checks over after endless blocking down and inspections time after time after time. The painter says his OCD is itching him and in the next few days he will be ready to paint.
I have made a change to the method, after listening to the painter this morning, I am going to have to find a pinstripe painter to do the yellow strips as all the mess and pain involved in masking up the car for the yellow is not only going to cost so much more than me finding a pinstripe painter, but we run the risk of running out of time, as the base coat needs to be lacquered within two hours and to mask up the car get it right and paint the yellow is cutting things to fine. Also as the original cars were hand painted it appears the correct method to employ anyway. So I am taking that advice and looking for the pin man.
Messy as it is, here is the car as it stands today, endless blocking can be seen and this should get me perfect panels (the aim).
