GT Front Subframe
At last I have made room on the workbench for the front subframe for the GT, the cut away engine is now safe and sound up in the garage out of the way. And before you ask yes it was heavy!
The main subframe beam has already been shot-blasted and blacked and is perfect as is. One small repair was needed and this was done a few weeks back to one of the Tie rod holes.
Right now I have done a trial fit of the upper wishbones and tie rods themselves. Nothing is bolted up yet as much is still to build up, but this should become my main focus over the next week or two. I know I have to keep going down to the hardware shop and finding new nuts and bolts as I need, such a luck that one shop in Hinckley right next to work does imperial nuts and bolts loose.
The plan is all nuts and bolts will be plated and everything else in black so it will not get rusty and its easy to wash down when on the car.
