GT Front screen
This one has been waiting just a while, the screen was made in 2007 and today It was fitted… Its a loverly laminated Pilkington Glass screen, obtained from my chums in the Viva Outlaws Club.
As expected the Rubber from Australia isn’t a perfect fit, But I am happy to live with this, I have seen on Facebook the new rubbers, but until I see one in the flesh I am not happy to part with money on the hope its any better than what I have.
Here I am ready to fit the screen, which is one of those nervous jobs of pushing on glass and using bits of cord, its an old school art to fit one, thank god I had two retropower chaps to assist me.
I was then left with a coil of chrome insert, and the memory of how sore my hands are going to feel after fitting it (as I had down the rear screen some time ago). Its fitted and yes my hands are sore, I appear to have no fingerprints anymore!
So today was successful, the front screen is in, its one small step towards the end. I packed up and left straight away, as normally when I am doing well, things starts to go wrong, it was best to leave on the high.
