Fuel tank is in…
Yep that’s right, finally after months of running around using an alloy race tank in the boot strapped to the floor I have managed to get another tank and get it fitted. Only took a few hours, most of the time was spent making sure the fuel line out the bottom of the tank was sealed correctly and some hammer work to the filler neck as in the post it had been bent. I can now report the fuel cap fits as it should (even if i have lost the key) and the tank hasn’t leaked yet (always more time for that to happen).
here is the boot back to the way it should be, usable and not full of alloy fuel tank!
Even more amazing is the fuel gauge is starting to work, it still flickers but at least it does seem to work. I have also taken some pictures of the new interior fitted, I do still need to find black hand grabs, fit the seat belts and change the red door surrounds for black ones.
After I have done all that I have some new door rubbers and some replacement rear side window rubbers to fit, But I shall do those after the paint work has been repaired, its booked in for paint on the 15th of April.
