Today a new fuel pump arrived at HQ and after a trip to the hose makers I was ready to fit a new 8mm fuel line from the tank to the carb on Marvin, with the Electric Facet fuel pump and a filter mounted under the boot floor. It took about 3 or 4 hours of draining the fuel tank removing it (never an easy task in a HA) reset the fuel sender unit (as I had put in wrong last year) and laying the new metal line to the front of the car.
Marvin has been cutting out after 10 or so miles and its been very hard to find the cause, what I did notice is that the one way valve I put in the fuel lines last year was failed. It blows in both directions now? otherwise everything else appears fine.
Yes I know the car is scabby underneath, but its all solid as a rock, next year I will redo the underside all in the same colour this time. But you can see in the picture the new pimp and filter.
