Every little helps
Not a Tesco value post to my blog, but more a statement of fact, its taking forever to get anything done on the GT due to fiddly little things that always distract me or stop something else from happening. But having said that I have managed to get a few things bolted back on the car. I was planning on fitting the door rubber, but now realise I need to replace the quarter lights first, but cannot build them back up until I get all the chrome parts sorted first (see one thing leads to another)
The front door locks are now in place, and so I don’t loose the keys I have zip tied them for now to the handles.
Both rear lights now cleaned up and fitted, these were NOS lights, but they were still dirty and needed a good clean up.
The bonnet lock assembly all zinc’d up and fitted. Just need to sort out the remote handle and cable setup of the part on the slam panel. It will require a hole drilling in the bulkhead, which will be fun.
Future plans whilst Retropower make the exhaust and install the real engine back into the car, is the interior. Hopefully in a few weeks I will get the headlining back in place and start the interior build working form the headlining down. Halting at the stage where I need to con side front seats and the wiring loom.
