Engines a go go
Got home and again its a nice sunny evening, so I poured some more diesel down the bores and across the rocker gear , and again with a little effort the engine turns over (note to self, remember to take it out of gear first), the timing belt is terrible, I must change that before I try turning it over on the starter. I removed the air box so I could see the carbs. The fuel lines were like paper and disintegrated upon touch, not good, But I would rather have these sorts of thing show themselves now rather than later.
I added battery to the car and decided to see what electrical parts work, good news the indicators, headlights, rear lights, fan and wipers all work. The interior light, horn and clock don’t seem to work? The radio crackles so I guess it sort of working, but I suspect a dry joint as one only has to touch the dial and it crackles.
There is a whole bunch of switch’s on the dash amd centre consul that don’t seem to do anything?
