Easter weekend update
Friday morning I drove on down to Somerset to help a friend fix / break / cut up / weld / (add your own action words here) some of his cars. I was a little dubious we would get the planned work done, but with a lot of effort we managed to cut of his old rotten wings and also remove his front panel. clean it all up and get the front panel back on.
Here is where it started:
Danny played with the grinder:
Note the smile on the face, scarry isnt it:
We played with the welder:
I left with the new front panel in place and the outer wings ready to fit (bolt on now):
In other news I am going to have to call the insurance company and sort of the insurance for the Escort, I have been with then 7 years and now they have sent me a letter saying I had not declared a claim from 2007 (when the beige Astra was stolen) and how my insurance is therefore going to go up in price to £588.18 a year, from £320! It was the AA that sorted out the claim in 2007 when the Astra was stolen, how the hell can they say they don’t know about it? It sounds to me that when I renewed my insurance the call centre droid got it all screwed up. Either way no way am I accepting £588 a year for a crapy escort.
