D day cometh
Today I am sat here contemplating just how much time I have left to get the car up and finished before D day, which is the 14th July 2018. Thats just 25 weeks away, with so much still needing to be done, and so many other things in life to do as well.
This show is where the 50th anniversary meet for the Viva GT will take place, and I want to attend with my car finished.
So whats left to do then? basically there are three big jobs left (and a thousand less big jobs which are a nightmare in themselves no doubt):
1/. Make an exhaust for the car (which might mean more jiggling with the manifold). This is booked in with those top guys at Retropower for April this year.
2/. Front Seats (being a larger person more comfy supportive seats are required). I have some ideas but for now whilst I am distracted with the last job this can wait.
3/. Wiring! yes white mans magic, and its been a tussle for me over the last few months to decide what to do, I have taken the plunge and decided to make my own loom from scratch, its still very early days, so there is not much to say on this just yet. I have given myself till May to finish it, hopefully getting some of my fellow viva owners who know wiring and a few other car / electric knowledgeable folks to confirm what I am doing is correct before I go to far.
The rest of the jobs are to remake a few things I have done I don’t like but moved us forward, finish off a load of things I am still unsure upon and start those other pile of jobs I cannot even remember yet. The list is endless.
Feeling the pressure but seeing light in the tunnel at last, only ten years so far !!!
