Coventry airbase car show
Bit of a last minute spur of the moment end of season show, and considering the 80 degree weather it was a no brainier. It s a lovely museum with lots of V force aircraft, Canberra’s and Vallients plus an air worthy Shackleton and Nimrod 2, all of which one can have a wander around.
Here is Marvin basking in the sun with a DC5 behind

The view out the cocpit of the shaklton:
All in all a nice little show, which was benefited by great weather, and access to the aircraft. the Nimrod is by far the biggest one, although there isnt much room inside due to all the screens and “things” that do things (MOD stuff). The Shakleton was by far the best aircraft on site at the time and its almost impossible to move around inside, one has to climb over loads of things to get to the cockpit which is very cramp.
One aircraft is even a world record holder…Good old British engineering before it was sold up the river….
