Today was too hot to get into the garage and get loads done. I managed about an hour then had to have a shower and loads of drinks before doing another hour in the garage. But i have pulled the wiper motor and assembly out stripped it down and cleaned up the so called stainless bar, that was not zinc plated (thats gone rusty!). Two people have told me its stainless steel, both professionals and I have to wonder why it is that its rusty and pitted? not rust dust, no deep rusted pits? So its been sanded down and painted to protect it form the rust to which its not supposed to react to!
Once that was all back in place, it was tidy up the engine bay, some dust and dirt to wipe away, some tarnished alloy to clean, still need to remove and turn started motor, and place the wiring loom in place so its neat and tidy. Bonnet release needs adjusting now, as it had to climb under car to release it. Always something to do.
