FBHVC Ride it day report
Nick and myself got the Trikes of Doom out and did a 19 mile ride (yes it was 19 miles Nick) around the countryside North of Nuneaton.
Henry still has the edge over Stan, but its closer than it was, mainly due to the mainshaft bearings on the drive wheel of Nick’s becoming stiff (time for a rebuild?)
Stan and Henry were royally raged to death for the entire journey, full throttle everywhere, and a steady 24 – 25 mph on the flat was maintained, with an impressive 32mph on one downhill. Even jumped a few speed bumps, but these bikes just keep taking it, they are much stronger than one would imagine.
Both of us had to change plugs at one point (glad I have a couple of spare L81’s) and as always my Carb had to be stripped cleaned and rebuilt on the roadside (2 strokes ehh!)
Much fun in the sun at below legal speed limits, followed with a nice Sunday roast!
Here I am as nick overtakes flat out, and I am hanging on for grim death.
