It has been a busy old morning, I first dropped over the DVLA paperwork with the Owners Club, so that I can finally get a new V5C for RAY, that’s because the DVLA didn’t have RAY on its database. Hopefully I should have something in the post form them before Xmas? I also collect the fuel line I was missing for RAY at that same time, so this afternoon I shall have a play with that and the Solex Carb I have.
I then dropped up the workshop and took some better pictures of Marvin, at the same time I dropped off the glass and rubber, we are going to fit them on Tuesday late afternoon if I can get an hour off work.
You can see in some of the picture that the paint still needs mopping down, but for now I am going to rebuild what I can of the car, so that any damage caused during the rebuild can be dealt with at the mopping stage. The only part that’s not going to be fitted if the engine as I am still unsure which unit to use.
This leaves me in the difficult position of two Vivas neither road legal and only one space on the drive… Guess I shall have to find a bolt hole for one of them and or be creative with space again.
