Another day trip
So much for getting time to do my own thing, I’ve taken Today and tomorrow off work so I could have two days to get Marvin on the road and MOT’d but seems I am now driving up to Lancashire tomorrow to look at a HC for someone, sounds like a nice car, but its always the same, what someone says and what its fact are usually two different things, but here is the description provided by the owners club:
1976 P registered Vauxhall Viva HC. MOT till 14th June 2008. Taxed to September. 10k miles on a fully reconditioned engine. Full Service history. No modifications. Weather sealed floor inside and out. A small water leak in bulkhead or windscreen needs attention. Revira Blue Starfire in colour with sky blue interior. Has been scratched on off side.
I gave the owner a call and he says the engine is the original unit reconditioned, and the paint scratch is where someone took a screwdriver to it just after it had been re painted. Strange item on the car is that it used to run an Astra engine at some point in the past, It would be good if he had that old setup hanging around, would be a great item to get copied and made up into a kit for Vivas.
Anyway today I finish the brakes on Marvin, and then its a check over of all the lights horns, tyres and bits I know about and try to get it booked in for tomorrow.
