..fitting the headlining, it appears this is a far bigger job than I imagined. lots of odd bits to sort, and it taken me a month so far. But worth it, as paying someone else to do it would of been silly as I have the time.
Its sunny today so I worked outside.
I tackled the A & B pillar trims, as always the bulldog clips are holding everything in place till the glue dries.
Here is the B pillar seeing the same colourful parade of bulldog clips.
I also covered the rear parcel shelf support brackets with the same trim material as used on the A & B pillars. Fitting these to the car has removed more of the wrinkles in the C pillar area of the headlining and with a small tug and glue of the headlong along the bottom of these brackets should see most of it disappear.
Here one can see one of the brackets supporting the rear parcel shelf. The parcel shelf needs some work to infill the speaker holes and then recover it. A job for GB Trim me thinks.
The only nightmare job left in all of this is to locate the holes for the rear grab handles, top seat belt mount, sun-visors, rear view mirror and interior light. All of which are hidden and finding them could be tricky. I had better print off images of the before locations before I just perforate the headlining looking for screw holes in the bodyshell.
