Marvin isnt that good
Seems Marvin starts on the nail each time now, which is rather nice now, but still not taken him for the all important 5 mile drive yet. will do that this weekend. We (as in me me Adrian Millar of the owners club and Dave my mechanic) all agree it is possible a vacum issue with either the tank or the engine crank case. As a vacum forms in the tank it stop fuel getting to the engine, and or as pressure builds in the crank as the car runs it stops the fule diaphram from pumping fuel either way it cuts the car off and it appears to die. So fixes:
1/. drill a tiny eigth of an inch hole in the filler neck of the furl tank to allow air in to the tank in case the fuel cap is not allowing air into the tank
2/. Swap the rocket cover for the spare brand new one I have in case thats blocked up inside and creating the pressure in the crank case. hope fully do both before the weekend and see how it runs…. In other news the yellow Van is off to the welders tomorrow to have a quote on a new chassis!!!
