NO not some modern round house for Santa to live in, the place. I popped over today to drop some parts off and collect some parts, but also to watch drag racing. Its a very quick sport, the races are over in seconds, but somehow to me its all a little of an anticlimax? One spends hours in the queue pushing your car along the lanes to the start, never able to see the racing, and when you get to the start line its over in a flash.
That said It was good to sit and watch some of the nice cars that make lots of noise thunder down the track (and when I say sit I mean break a seat or two, but I blame Edd for putting an invisible elephant on my lap). My favourite cars of the day were a toss up between an Green Austin A35 with a metro turbo lump, and a Black MGB V8, that I have seen a few times at classic car shows as well as run at drag strips.
As common with me these days I forgot to take pictures, that does make for a boring blog so instead I will add a picture of the latest toys I have. This is a nice 40 Carb and Manifold ideal for the 1256 engine once that’s ready to re assemble.
